HVAF operates six scattered-site supportive housing units with 30 beds; an apartment complex with 13 beds; the VISTA Center (Veterans Integrated Services for Training and Achievement) with 40 beds; an in-house Residential Employment and Substance Abuse Treatment Program (REST) with 22 beds.
HVAF currently provides a total of 105 beds, but the need for services greatly exceeds the organization's capacity. The Coalition for Homeless Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) estimates the number of homeless people in Marion County at 3,800 each night, with about 900 (24 percent) being veterans.
