May 5, 1955 - December 9, 2006
Ronnie McGee served in the U.S. Army from May 14th, 1973 to December 11th, 1974, obtaining an Honorable Discharge. He successfully completed his rehabilitation program and even had his own place to call home.He selflessly volunteered his time working in the warehouse to assist his fellow veterans at HVAF of Indiana, Inc. and was getting ready to come and work for us – giving him another place to call his home – working for the very people who had become his extended family. He never complained, always wore a smile, and always helped out in any way he could. His success story in the April-June 2006 Newsletter reflected on the second half of Proverbs 18:12…”Humility comes before honor.” His words and his actions reflect the very humility and honor that were part of his being…the honor he had all along…but just had to find within himself. As our Ronnie said, “life really is what we make out of it…today my life is great.” Life is what we make of it - those are truly words to live by - a gift from Ronnie…for our veterans, our employees and our supporters.
